Iranians enjoy a global reputation in carpet/rug weaving. Persian Rug has always been a fixed element in any Iranian house and is always a witness of everydayness as it is happiness or sadness, childhood or adolescence, loneliness or setting together …

T he context of Rug is actually a part of the collective memory of Iranians and Iran is associated with very beautiful and colorful Rugs by many foreigners.

“Iranian Life on the Persian Rug” combines an old Iranian heritage with current daily life in Iran. It tries to employ daily life icons and symbols of great importance in the Iranian national culture while emphasizing on permanent presence of the Persian Rug.

The Rug is not changed but daily life objects or events are changed frame by frame to convey the feeling of how the daily life is passing.
