“Even in his absence”, a short film by Kaveh baghdadchi, is accepted to be shown in the juried group Fine Arts exhibition of “Illogical Animus” organized by sUgAR Gallery at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR.

The exhibition focuses on the work of MFA and Master of Architecture students across US campuses hailing from countries affected by the presidential travel ban. The exhibition will run from October 9th to November 17th, 2017.

The exhibition wants to show how USA universities rely heavily on the experiences and conversations brought by individuals coming from different ethnic backgrounds and global understandings.

“Even in his absence” is a metaphorical effort to show how two cultures can weave together and be a part of each other’s everydayness, no matter of race or nationality. This short film wants to challenge viewers to recognize the significance of beauty and possibility of having people from different cultural backgrounds sharing the same life.
